Victoria Madu is enjoying her first job and the opportunity of gaining work experience at an early age.
-
Before enrolling for the WAVE training, she had just completed her secondary school education and tried looking for a job to keep herself busy, pending the time she would write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) but had no success because she lacked experience.
-
WAVE provided the opportunity for her to learn life skills and practical experience during the Job Shadow; an experience she excitedly describes: “new and eye-opening. I learned about new places from where I stayed because I hardly go out.”
-
Six months post-WAVE, Victoria currently works as a marketer at Biofem pharmaceuticals. “I love the teamwork. Everyone at Biofem is respected and valued no matter how little you are.”She explained. Her long term goal is to be a journalist because of her love for writing and is confident that every skill/experience learned and gathered will contribute to achieving her goal.
-
Start small. Learn fast. Grow big.

Ifeoluwa's admirer❤️
Her story is inspiring. I feel motivated. She is a young girl who at a tender age knows what she wants and she is working towards becoming her dreams.

I really love the transformation that Wave is causing in the lives of the young people. Mary's experience just stands out. She is more equipped to live. This and more is what young girls especially need to compete favorably in Nigeria. Apart from the people that are in Lagos state, how can youths from other states participate in this training? How much does the training cost? Before I go, I really appreciate the leadership of West African Vocational Education. God richly bless you. Thank.
