Impact Story: Paul Anighoro

Though Rigorous, The WAVE Training Helped Me Greatly In My Career Path. 

    For someone who had dreams of working inthe hospitality sector, being an assistant in a business cafe didn’t cut it. Our Impact Story for today is about Paul Anighoro who works as a pastry chef. 

    An HND holder at YabaTech, Paul heard aboutWAVE’s training program when he was surfing emails at his former workplace. Hedecided to give it a try because he was tired of not doing what he loved.

    It, however, was not easy as he described thetraining as being “rigorous”. The most difficult part was learning to bepunctual because he took about two buses from his home in Ajegunle to thetraining center in Victoria Island. 

  This sometimes resulted in him being asked to standthroughout the training as he sometimes came late.  He, however, says that skills such ascommunication which he was taught, have helped him greatly in his chosen careerpath.

    His advice to youths is to be focused and to never give up on themselvesand their dreams.
