Henry Magh joined WAVE's training program in late 2017 at the Festac Academy after hearing about it from a friend.

At the time, Henry had just concluded his NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) and was unemployed, hoping WAVE would provide the training and job placement he needed.

"The training was very challenging, rigorous, and tasking, but I learned a lot of new things I never knew before. Meeting new people for an intensive two weeks of training was also exciting" he adds.

After his training experience, Henry interned at Mr. Price in Surulere, and it was a valuable step in his journey because he quickly secured his first job after the internship, "Just two weeks after training, I was called for an interview at Brandco Nigeria, and that was it. It was successful—my first and only interview, then a job," he said.

Currently, Henry works as a Business Developer with Mitmoh Group, a logistics company where he applies the communication and marketing skills he learned at WAVE daily. "Communication skills are very important," he emphasises. "I learned about it differently from what I used to know, and marketing skills are also crucial in my daily activities."

Looking back on his experience, Henry appreciates the foundation WAVE provided. "WAVE will always be ideal for active job seekers with little or no experience. It is an opportunity to equip yourself with the right kind of knowledge and experience so you can go out there and do exploits," he advises.

"I never imagined how much this program would shape my career. From those challenging days of training to landing my first job, every step was a turning point. It is more than just a training program; it is a launchpad for success.

Here is to WAVE, for being a pivotal part of my story, and cheers to many more success stories!"

Her story is inspiring. I feel motivated. She is a young girl who at a tender age knows what she wants and she is working towards becoming her dreams.

I really love the transformation that Wave is causing in the lives of the young people. Mary's experience just stands out. She is more equipped to live. This and more is what young girls especially need to compete favorably in Nigeria. Apart from the people that are in Lagos state, how can youths from other states participate in this training? How much does the training cost? Before I go, I really appreciate the leadership of West African Vocational Education. God richly bless you. Thank.
